Ulster 27 - 20 Scarlets, Kingspan Stadium

Ulster maintained their unbeaten streak in the ongoing Pro 14 season as they completed a 27-20 triumph over Scarlets at Kingspan Stadium on Friday.

Fullback Leigh Halfpenny got Scarlets off the mark with a third minute penalty but scrum-half John Cooney replied back with a penalty of his own to level the scores 3-3. The Ulster scrum-half kicked two more penalties at the stroke of half-time as they ended the first half with a six point lead.

Cooney further extended Ulster's advantage at the start of the second half with his fourth penalty but a touchdown from Johnny McNicholl along with a penalty and a conversion from Halfpenny helped Scarlets bounce back

The lead once again swung towards the home side after a crossover from Jacob Stockdale but Jonathan Davies negated his efforts and Scarlets had a 17-20 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.

This is when John Andrew scored a crucial try and was backed by a penalty and a conversion from Wallabies international Christian Leali'ifano as Ulster completed a seven point victory.
