Favourite cheat meal/restaurant?
Papa Johns Pizza. I think they are a different league to Domino’s
The boots you wore in your last game?
Under Armour Clutch Fit. They are well made, fit nicely and above all they are comfortable. I used to sponsored by Adidas but had to stop as their boots were simply dreadful – ill-fitting, badly made and very uncomfortable. Under Armour are a completely different class.
Any Pre-match rituals or motivational tune?
In the dressing room I always put my right sock on first. On the way to match I wear my lucky chain and listen to music. I play a variety of music on the way to game whilst on the team bus but my favourite tune at the moment is Omen (Claptone remix)
Your ‘must have' sports supplement?
James Haskell's Hades
My own pre trainer, Hades, I always take it before I play. I developed it when I came back from playing Super-15 in New Zealand as I couldn’t find anything that was clean, Informed Sport Approved but most importantly worked for me. It has won multiple Awards
Now a number of my Wasps and International teammates take it before training and the match and swear by it. It’s great; I am delighted they love it but in truth my focus is on the fact it really works for me.
Number one beverage in your down-time?
Whisky, ideally Jonnie Walker Blue if I am feeling flush but if not, Gold will do at a pinch!
