The Western Force have confirmed the signing of Australian outside back James Ramm on a two-year contract beginning with the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season.
James Ramm Signs Western Force Deal
Ramm will return to Australia after four seasons with Prem leaders Northampton Saints. The 27-year-old scored 31 tries in 68 appearances during his time in England and earned the club’s Breakthrough Player and Players’ Player of the Season awards in 2023.
Capable of playing on the wing or at full-back, Ramm adds experience and versatility to the Force backline ahead of the 2027 campaign.
Return To Super Rugby Pacific
Before moving overseas, Ramm spent three seasons with the NSW Waratahs, making 20 Super Rugby appearances and scoring three tries. He crossed for a try on his competition debut in 2020 and also represented the Junior Wallabies at the 2018 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.
Standing at 191cm, the outside back has developed his game across both hemispheres and now returns to Australian rugby with valuable international club experience.
"I’m extremely excited to be joining the Force next season and relocating to Perth with my wife, Ally," Ramm said.
"After talking to many of the boys and staff currently at the club, it is clear that there is a strong culture, a drive for success and a genuine belief in what this group can achieve.
"The opportunity to play a role in what the club is building is something that really excites me".
