The Western Force has announced the signing of tight-head prop Feao Fotuaika for the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.
Fotuaika joins after a season at the ACT Brumbies, where he made 11 appearances and scored one try.
He has Super Rugby experience from a four-year stint with the Queensland Reds (2019-22) where he amassed 31 caps.
He then spent two and a half years in France with Lyon Olympique Universitaire, collecting 28 appearances.
Internationally, he has earned six caps for Tonga and was selected in their 2023 Rugby World Cup squad, but did not feature due to injury.
Force head coach Simon Cron said Fotuaika addresses a key area of concern: “Tight-head prop has challenged our depth in recent seasons. Feao brings proven experience, leadership and set-piece strength.”
Fotuaika himself described the move as “an exciting new chapter” adding: “I’m keen to bring physicality and set-piece nous to the Force.”
Fotuaika will link up with the Force ahead of the 2026 pre-season programme and join a revamped squad as the club announces its full roster on 6 November.
