Wales back-row Taulupe Faletau is targeting the clash against South Africa on 26th November for his international return.

Faletau will be part of his club Bath Rugby's Aviva Premiership clash against Bristol on Friday and this will be his first appearance after he was sidelined with a knee injury in September.

Earlier, the 26-year-old was temporarily released from the Wales squad because of the injury.

Interim coach of Wales Rob Howley revealed that the team management is in constant touch with the medical team of Bath and is hopeful of Faletau returning to full fitness soon.

"Taulupe has progressed excellently with his recovery and he has been released back to Bath this week to prepare for their game against Bristol on Friday night," said Howley.

"We have a good working relationship with Bath and our medical team, led by Prav (Mathema), have been working closely and in unison with the team at Bath and it is pleasing that Taulupe is in line to make his return for them this week and will link back up with us on Monday."

Following their 24-20 victory against Argentina, Wales will now take on Japan and South Africa in the next two weekend's to complete their November Test fixtures.
