Gloucester Rugby 12-13 Northampton Saints, Kingsholm
Scorecard

A penalty try with just five minutes remaining on the clock allowed Northampton Saints to come from behind to grab a much-needed 12-13 win over Gloucester Rugby at Kingsholm Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors drew a complete blank on the scoreboard in the first-half as fly-half Billy Burns' three penalties helped Gloucester take a decent nine point lead at half-time.

Saints' fly-half Stephen Myler got his side back in the game with a couple of penalties on the 46th and 58th minute.

However, Burns scored another three pointer on 62nd minute to extend the lead to six points.

A 73rd minute penalty try was awarded by referee Matt Carley with the help of TMO after Gloucester winger David Halaifonua knocked the ball on. Burns added the extras with a successful conversion to seal the proceedings for the visitors.

Gloucester director of rugby David Humphreys expressed his frustration with the result.

"The dressing room is devastated. To turn around after five days and a really huge game at Twickenham and lose by a point is hard to take.

"You knew that last 10 minutes would be tough. We defended magnificently for parts of that match. When your opportunities come along, you have to take them."

Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.

The division is becoming more and more exciting as each year passes by so who will be lifting silverware at Twickenham in May?
