Olamide Sodeke signs new Saracens Deal

Saracens have secured the future of promising second-row Olamide Sodeke after the 21-year-old agreed a new contract with the North London club.

The academy graduate has progressed through the club’s development pathway and is regarded as one of Saracens’ most exciting young forwards.

Olamide Sodeke Extends Saracens Stay

Sodeke began his rugby career with Blackheath before joining the Saracens Academy and progressing into the Senior Academy in 2023.

The powerful lock has since continued his development at senior level, making his Gallagher PREM debut against Bristol Bears. He has also gained valuable experience on loan with Championship side Ampthill.

England Pathway Success for Sodeke

Sodeke has also established himself within the England age-grade pathway after previously representing the national Under-18 side.

He helped England win the 2024 Under-20 Six Nations before playing a role in their World Rugby U20 Championship triumph later that year. He returned for a second U20 World Championship campaign in 2025 and has subsequently progressed to England A.

Saracens Back Young Lock’s Potential

Sodeke said extending his Saracens career was a proud moment and thanked the club for the opportunities he has received since progressing through the academy.
