Saracens delivered a statement performance at StoneX, overwhelming Bristol Bears 50–17 in a Premiership clash marked by relentless attacking and Owen Farrell’s accuracy from the tee.
Early tries set the tone as Saracens raced clear, and despite a spirited hat-trick from Kieran Marmion, Bristol could not contain the defending champions.
Saracens wasted no time in stamping their authority. Hooker Theo Dan powered over in the 2nd minute, with Farrell converting to make it 7–0. Just three minutes later, Nick Isiekwe crossed, and again Farrell converted to stretch the lead to 14–0.
Farrell added a penalty in the 16th minute before Max Malins struck in the 20th minute, finishing a slick move for the third try. Farrell converted for 24–0 as Bristol struggled to contain the wave of pressure.
Matters got worse for the visitors in the 37th minute when Bill Mata was shown a yellow card, and almost immediately Nick Tompkins crossed the line. Farrell’s conversion made it 31–0 at halftime, leaving Bristol reeling.
Bristol needed a quick start after the interval, and scrum-half Marmion obliged with a try in the 42nd minute. Tom Jordan’s conversion attempt sailed wide, but the Bears were at least on the board at 31–5.
Saracens swiftly reasserted control. Jack Bracken scored in the 46th minute, with Farrell converting for 38–5. Bracken grabbed his second try just four minutes later to push the score to 43–5, although Farrell was off target with the extras.
Bristol, however, found some spirit through Marmion, who struck twice more in the 61st and 72nd minutes to complete his hat-trick. Sam Worsley converted the first but missed the second, leaving the Bears trailing 43–17.
Saracens were not finished though. In the 77th minute Hugh Tizard crossed for their seventh try of the match. Farrell converted once more to take the score to 50–17, where it remained until the final whistle.
