Leicester Tigers have strengthened their front-row options with the signing of Tonga international hooker Sam Moli ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 27-year-old arrives following his departure from Moana Pasifika, where he spent four seasons in Super Rugby.

Moli made 47 appearances for the Pacific franchise before its Super Rugby operation came to an end amid financial difficulties.

Tonga international adds Tigers depth

Born in New Zealand, Moli has earned 27 caps for Tonga since making his international debut in 2021.

The hooker brings both Test and Super Rugby experience to Leicester and will provide additional competition in the Tigers front row.

Head coach Geoff Parling described Moli as a powerful forward and strong scrummager who should be well suited to the demands of the PREM.

"Sam comes and adds some quality and depth to our hooking options," said Parling to the club's official website.

"He's a big body and strong scrummager and someone we believe will suit the game in the Prem.

"He knows he's got to make sure he's ready to make the most of this opportunity and we look forward to him arriving."

Moli will now link up with the Tigers squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
