Saracens have confirmed the signing of back-three player Amelia Tutt ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old joins the club after a two-year stint with Leicester Tigers, further strengthening the squad’s options in the wide channels.
Tutt, who has already represented both Wales and Leicester Tigers, brings strong athletic credentials and a promising future to Saracens.
Starting rugby at the age of five, she progressed through the junior systems at Old Northamptonians, representing the club at both U15 and U18 levels. She also played county rugby for East Midlands across the same age groups.
Known for her explosive speed and physical presence, Tutt was identified early as a high-potential athlete. At just 20, she was already recognised for her strength and ability to break defensive lines, drawing attention from top-tier clubs.
Beyond rugby, Tutt has a notable background in athletics. She was ranked among the top 20 sprint hurdlers in the UK and represented England Schools in the U17 category before beginning her studies at Loughborough University.
Speaking about the move, Tutt expressed her excitement: “I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining Saracens.
"It's an incredible club with a winning legacy, and I can't wait to learn, grow, and give everything I have on and off the pitch.”
Saracens Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry welcomed the signing, calling Tutt “a powerful player who has the ability to challenge the line and break tackles. A young talent with the potential to make a real impact in a Saracens shirt.”
