England flanker Tom Curry has been ruled out of remainder of the series against Australia following a concussion.

Curry sustained the injury during the opening Test against the Wallabies last Saturday in Perth where he was replaced by Lewis Ludlam at half time.

A statement released by the Rugby Football Union said that the decision to withdraw him from the tour of Australia was taken "in the interest of player welfare and recovery, he will take no further part in the tour and return home for continuing assessment and ongoing management".

The 24-year-old had travelled with the squad to Brisbane which will host the second Test but now will head back to England later in the week.

Australia have claimed a 1-0 lead in the series following their 30-28 win over England in the opening Test with the teams now heading to Suncorp Stadium for the second game on 9th July with the final match scheduled to be played at Sydney Cricket Ground on 16th July.
