Ben Lam scored four tries as Hurricanes went on to trounce Rebels 19-50 in their Super Rugby clash at AAMI Park on Friday.

This is Rebels' second win of the season but they still maintain the top position in Australian Conference while Hurricanes have reclaimed the top position in New Zealand Conference.

Lam (10' and 33') and Beauden Barrett (39') scored first half tries for Hurricanes with the fly-half also kicking two apiece of conversions and penalties to take the total to 25 points.

Matt Philip (29') was the lone try-scorer for Rebels in the first half while fly-half Jack Debreczeni slotted four penalties and a conversion as they reached 19 points.

With Rebels failing to add any point in the second half, Gareth Evans (48'), Ngani Laumape (60') and Lam (69' and 79') scored further tries for Hurricanes to complete a 19-50 victory. Barrett too had a fantastic game contributing with 20 points.
