Wales international Rhys Priestland has signed a new contract with the English Premiership club Bath.

The fly-half joined the Recreation Ground outfit in 2015 on a two-year contract and has made 48 appearances with the club which includes 18 Aviva Premiership games.

Before joining Bath, the 29-year-old represented Welsh regional side Scarlets for eight years between 2007 and 2015, where he recorded over 1,000 points.

Apart from Priestland, centre Max Clark and full-back Tom Homer have also signed new deals with Bath.

Bath rugby director Todd Blackadder had high praises for the trio and is confident of them achieving greater heights with the Aviva Premiership club.

"Rhys, Max and Tom are all really integral members of the squad, and it's great news for the club going forward that they have agreed to stay here.

"They are all at slightly different stages in their careers.

"Max has just broken through into the first team, Tom is continuing to show his quality and consistency this season at full-back, while Rhys is a hugely experienced, world-class international who has been unlucky with injury this season."

Bath are currently placed fourth in the ongoing Aviva Premiership season after scoring 37 points from 12 games.
