Scorecard

Worcester Warriors came up with a nine-try performance as they started the European Challenge Cup campaign with a 14-57 win over RC Enisei at Kuban Stadium on Friday.

After the opening 16 minutes went without a point, Richard Palframan crossed over to get the visitors off the mark and few minutes later Nick David also dived over the line with Jamie Shillcock improving to take the scoreline 0-12.

Just around the half-hour mark, Worcester Warriors sealed the game with tries from Shillock (32'), Jono Kitto (36') and Oli Morris (40+2'). Shillcock also kicked the extras on two occasions as the Premiership side raced to 31 points in the first half.

There was no respite whatsoever for RC Enise as Worcester's onslaught continued in the second half with Justin Clegg dotting down in the 56th minute and five minutes later Shillock scored his second taking their tally to 0-43.

The final quarter saw Davit Meshki finally get Clermont off the mark with a try in the 64th minute but his effort was negated by a third from Shillock.

The trend continued in the final 10 minutes as well with Dimitri Krotov and Gareth Simpson exchanging tries as Worcester Warriors completed a dominating 14-57 win in the opening game of the tournament.

Worcester will head to Stade Pierre Fabre to take on Castres in the second round on 23rd November while RC Enisei will lock horns with Dragons at Kuban Stadium on 22nd November.
