Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of experienced forward Tom Savage ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Savage will return to the UK after seven years playing overseas in Japan and New Zealand.
Worcester Warriors Sign Tom Savage
The 37-year-old joins Worcester as a senior forward with extensive experience across English rugby, Japanese rugby and Super Rugby. His arrival adds leadership and depth to the Warriors squad as the club continues building for next season.
The forward began his rugby career at Hartpury before joining Gloucester in 2011. He went on to make almost 200 appearances for the club and was named Gloucester captain for the 2013/14 season.
Tom Savage Returns To UK Rugby
After leaving Gloucester, Savage moved to Japan and spent four seasons with Suntory Sungoliath in the Japanese Top League. He later joined Moana Pasifika, where he played Super Rugby over the past three years.
During his time in New Zealand, Savage also represented North Harbour in the National Provincial Championship and captained the side last season.
Savage said he was excited to return to UK rugby after seven years abroad and looked forward to joining Worcester’s players, coaches and supporters at Sixways.
"I’m really excited to be joining Worcester Warriors. The club has a rich history and an incredibly loyal fan base, which I’m looking forward to being a part of.
From the conversations I’ve had with Matt Everard, it’s clear there’s something special building here. I can’t wait to get stuck in, connect with the players and coaches, and contribute to a team that has already achieved so much this season.
It's also exciting to be returning to the UK after seven years playing overseas. I'm looking forward to experiencing the rugby culture here again and sharing that journey with my family."
