The Western Force have received a major boost ahead of their high-stakes Super Rugby Pacific clash against the Queensland Reds, with the return of Wallabies winger Dylan Pietsch.

The 26-year-old has been cleared to play after recovering from a rib injury sustained in the season opener against the Hurricanes.

Pietsch’s return to the starting XV adds much-needed experience and speed to the Force’s backline as they aim to rebound from three consecutive defeats.

The former Waratahs winger, known for his explosive pace and defensive resilience, will be a welcome addition as the team looks to revive its campaign.

Force head coach Simon Cron confirmed Pietsch’s inclusion in the matchday squad, expressing confidence that the winger's physicality and work ethic will have an immediate impact.

Cron also highlighted the importance of consistency and execution ahead of the Reds clash, labelling it a must-win game for the Perth-based side.

The Force will also benefit from the return of forwards Santiago Medrano and Jeremy Williams, bolstering the pack alongside captain Michael Wells. Rising star Bayley Kuenzle retains his role at fly-half, while Hamish Stewart continues to marshal the midfield.

The Reds, coming off a narrow loss to the Brumbies, pose a formidable challenge. With both sides eyeing a spot in the top eight, this fixture could prove pivotal. The Force, currently sitting outside the playoff places, must secure victory to remain in contention.
