London Irish lock George Robson has been handed a six-week ban by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary panel following an untidy incident in Greene King IPA Championship clash with Yorkshire Carnegie.

The 31-year-old was seen grabbing the testicles of Ollie Stedman during the game on 5th November which London Irish went on to win by 41-17.

After attending the hearing in front of the RFU disciplinary panel on Wednesday evening at Twickenham Stoop, Robson was found guilty of the charges.

An RFU statement read: " The charge against George Robson of London Irish for acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to Law 10.4(m), was heard at the Twickenham Stoop this evening.

"Robson pleaded guilty and was given a six-week suspension. He is free to play again on Wednesday 28 December 2016."
