Doncaster Knights have confirmed that scrum-half Ollie Fox has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract for the 2025–26 season.

The announcement marks a key move in the club’s strategy to retain experienced domestic talent ahead of the upcoming campaign.

A Yorkshire native, Fox began his rugby journey in league before transitioning to union at the age of 14 with Yorkshire Carnegie.

Since returning to his home county, he has emerged as a central figure in the Doncaster Knights setup, contributing consistency and leadership from the base of the scrum.

Fox previously spent three seasons with Premiership side Bath Rugby, making 21 senior appearances, and also represented England at U19 and U20 levels, including stints in the U20 Six Nations and World Cup.

After a spell with Ealing Trailfinders in 2022–23, he rejoined Yorkshire, and has since notched up 43 caps with the Knights.

Consultant Director of Rugby Sir Ian McGeechan expressed high regard for the scrum-half’s value to the squad, stating, "He is instrumental in the game we play, he never fails to bring energy to the pitch.

"His attitude to training and playing sets an example to all involved and he always contributes to driving high standards."

Head of Recruitment Matt Harland echoed the sentiment, adding, "The way the club is looking to play brings out the best in Foxy and he then brings out the best in the rest of the team.

"He has a fantastic ability to create space for him and the players around him. Not only is Foxy a brilliant player for us to have at the club, he’s a Yorkshire lad and it’s something that we want to continue to develop at the club."
