Doncaster Knights have confirmed the signing of hooker Corey Tait for the remainder of the current season, adding depth to their front row.

Tait joins the Yorkshire-based club after captaining Selkirk RFC during the first half of the season. Selkirk compete in Scotland’s top domestic competitions, including the Arnold Clark Scottish Premiership and the Border League.

The move also sees Tait reunited with his older brother Rhys, who is already part of the Doncaster squad.

The hooker began his rugby journey at Jed Forest Minis before progressing to Hawick RFC, where he spent several years in the youth system between 2014 and 2021.

He later moved into senior rugby with Hawick before joining Boroughmuir Bears in the FOSROC Super6 competition.

His performances at Super6 level earned wider recognition, and Tait gained his first taste of international rugby during the 2023 Six Nations, featuring throughout the tournament.

Tait’s arrival comes after the departure of hooker George Roberts, with Doncaster acting swiftly to secure cover for the remainder of the season.
