Scorecard

A clinical first half performance from Saracens saw them return back to winning ways after beating Sale Sharks by 29-18 in their Aviva Premiership encounter at Allianz Park on Saturday.

Centre Will Addison left the field early for the visitors after a first minute penalty and was replaced by AJ MacGinty, who scored the second penalty for to take Sale Sharks to six points in the first half.

Fullback Duncan Taylor and wing Chris Ashton crossed over for Sarries while the reliable fly-half Alex Lozowski contributed with two penalties and a conversion to take the hosts to a 15-point at the end of first 40 minutes.

Even though, Magnus Lund and replacement Cameron Neild crossed over for Sale Sharks in the second half, Saracens, who were without 10 players either injured or out for national duty managed to overhaul the challenge with a second half try from Nathan Earle.

The 11 point victory meant Saracens occupy the third position with 53 points from 16 games while Sale Sharks languish at 10th position.

This was also the first game for the visitors without their rugby director Steve Diamond, who was handed a touchline ban.
