Ospreys 27-10 Benetton Treviso, Swansea

Ospreys have moved to the second position in the table as they went on to beat 27-10 in their Pro14 clash against Benetton Treviso in Swansea on Saturday.

Sam Davies kicked a 12th minute penalty goal to kick-start the proceedings for Ospreys and 10 minutes later Antonio Rizzi helped Benetton Treviso level the scores .

As the half-time was approaching, Dan Evans scored the opening try of the game in the 33rd minute that was improved by Davies as the hosts had a 10-3 lead heading into the break.

Flanker Justin Tipuric further extended Ospreys' lead with a touchdown in the 44th minute with Davies kicking the extras. But, Tipuric 's sin-bin in the 52nd minute dented their momentum and three minutes later Braam Steyn made full use of the numerical advantage when he strolled over the post and the extras from Ian McKinley got the gap down to seven points.

However, any hope of the visitors fighting back was put off when Davies kicked his second penalty goal in the 59th minute and followed it with a converted try in the 72nd minute to seal a 27-10 win for Ospreys.

The Welsh regional side now are at second position in Conference A while Benetton Treviso are at fourth place in Conference B.
