Force 20-25 Rebels, Leichhardt Oval
Scorecard

Isi Naisarani scored the decisive try in the Super Time to help Melbourne Rebels edge out Western Force 20-25 in their Super Rugby AU encounter at Leichhardt Oval.

Both teams were levelled at 20-20 at the end of a grueling 80-minute play and it was Naisarani's effort that helped Rebels register their second win from four games to take to the second place in the table while Force have lost all their four matches.

Force had an early setback when Tevin Ferris was replaced in the sixth minute but they were the first to open their account when Jono Lance kicked a 11th minute penalty goal.

Rebels suffered a setback in the 25th minute when Naisarani was yellow-carded for a cynical defensive foul and Force responded back immediately with a try from Fergus Lee-Warner followed by Jono Lance's conversion.

Despite being down on numerical advantage, Rebels touched down through Jordan Uelese's try in the 30th minute and Matt Toomua followed with conversion and a penalty to ensure the first half completed with a 10-10 scoreline.

Force had their own trouble as Jeremy Thrush was yellow-carded in the 50th minute but tries exchanged from Byron Ralston and Matt Philip meant the scores became 17-20 but Lance's penalty in the 64th minute meant the scores were levelled once again at 20-20 for the remainder of the 16 minutes.

As the game entered the Super Time, the teams that scores first would take the points and it was Naisarani, who scored the decisive try in the added minutes to help Rebels secure their second win.
