Brumbies have confirmed that fullback Mack Hansen has committed to the Super Rugby club for the 2021 season.

Hansen started his professional rugby career with National Rugby Championship side Canberra Vikings in 2017 with his Super Rugby debut for Brumbies coming in 2019 against the Waratahs.

"To be able to continue playing for the team I grew up supporting is a great feeling," he told the club's official website.

"The group here at the moment is building something special and I want to continue to be a part of that.

"To be able to work with world class coaches and staff is a real positive and I'm looking forward to continuing to improve as a player and a person here in Canberra."

Brumbies head coach Dan McKellar expressed delight in retaining the services of Hansen for the 2021 season.

"It's great to be able to have Mack around the club for 2021." he said.

"He's been in the system for a long time and is another example of the Brumbies pathway supporting local talents and developing them into professional footballers.

"He's the type of character you want around the group, he's very well liked by the team and the organisation and we're all looking forward to seeing him continue to improve next year."

Having finished the league stage of Super Rugby AU table at the top, Brumbies will face the winner of Rebels and Reds contest in the final on 19th September.
