Leinster 54-10 Dragons, Dublin

Leinster have claimed the second position in the ongoing Pro 14 season after they went on to thrash Dragons 54-10 in their encounter in Dublin on Friday.

Dragons had a promising start to the game when Gavin Henson kicked a second minute drop goal and nine minutes later James Benjamin went past the line as they gained a 0-10 lead.

However, the remainder of the first half was dominated by Leinster with Jamison Gibson-Park (17'), Isa Nacewa (27'), Josh Murphy (31') and Max Deegan (32') scoring the tries while Ross Byrne slotted all the four conversions to make it 28-10 at half time.

The Irish regional side looked in total control of the game and was greatly aided by a sin-bin to Angus O'Brien that also resulted in a penalty try from Leinster.

As Dragons failed to score a single point in the second half, Nacewa (51') along with Jordan Larmour (70') and Rory O'Loughlin (75') scored further tries to complete a 44 point victory for Leinster.

Leinster now have moved to second in Conference B while Dragons are at sixth.
