Leinster 21 - 13 Edinburgh, Dublin

Leinster managed to hold their nerve in a tight encounter against Edinburgh as they completed a 21-13 triumph in their Pro 14 encounter in Dublin on Friday.

Jason Tovey kicked back to back penalties to get Edinburgh off the mark but Leinster bounced back with a touchdown from Jordi Murphy while Johnny Sexton slotted the conversion to take a one point lead.

Tovey continued his good form with a converted try in the 29th minute but his efforts were negated by a touchdown from Joey Carberry at the stroke of half-time as the home side had a 14-13 lead.

Richard Cockerill's side suffered a setback in the 50th minute when Jamie Ritchie was sin-binned but Leinster could not quite capitalise on the advantage of having an additional man.

As the game was heading for a tight finish, replacement Jamison Gibson-Park strolled past the post to give Leinster an edge while Ross Byrne slotted the conversion to complete an eight point victory for the Irish provincial side.

With four wins from five games, Leinster are at second in Conference B while Edinburgh slipped to fourth after their third consecutive defeat this season.
