Australian international Kurtley Beale expressed satisfaction over his rehabilitation process from a patella tendon injury.

Beale suffered the injury in the first minute of the Waratahs' Super Rugby encounter against Bulls following which he underwent a surgery that was expected to keep him on the sidelines for four to six months.

Beale, who was awarded the Australian rugby's best player of the year honour in 2011, was signed by the English Premiership club Wasps for a whopping £700,000 deal to become one of the biggest signings in the Premiership history. The 27-year-old is certain to miss the start of the upcoming season for the Ricoh Arena based outfit.

The Australian playmaker joined the Wasps camp recently, however, he also confirmed that his date of returning to action has not been discussed yet.

"I'm very happy that I'm here now and ready to work hard and rip into my rehab and try to get back as fit as possible for Wasps," Beale said to Wasps TV.

"The first three months (of rehab) was quite tough but the surgeon said it's in a really good position to really push forward with my rehab. I've met the medical staff here, we're going to work out a plan.

"At the moment there's no date set but I think the main focus for me is to really just concentrate on my rehab and try not to think about the end of the tunnel too much.

"There's obviously a lot of hard work to go. The injury was pretty major - I haven't really suffered anything like that before so I really want to work hard and try not to miss any gaps so when I hit the ground running I'll be in full flight and enjoy my rugby again.

"There's a lot of history with Wasps and the last couple of years they've had some really quality players coming through. Their roster has been awesome.

"To be able to get an opportunity to come over and play at a huge club like the Wasps who have a fantastic fan base and a really strong tradition, there was no other choice really."
