Isaac Henry Re-Signs With Queensland Reds

The 27-year-old has extended his stay at Ballymore after impressing in recent wins over the ACT Brumbies and NSW Waratahs.

His contribution against the Waratahs was particularly significant, with the centre backing up a break from Filipo Daugunu to score the decisive try late in the match. His ball-carrying, defence and passing have all stood out during his return to Super Rugby Pacific.

Queensland Reds Reward Henry Form And Resilience

Henry’s re-signing follows a difficult injury period in recent seasons, with the midfielder working hard to regain rhythm and full fitness. His return to regular rugby has been supported by Queensland’s expanded playing programme, including fixtures outside the Super Rugby Pacific season.

"The last few years have been up and down with my body so it has been pretty awesome to be back and playing in two good wins. I've been proud of myself and the boys," Henry said.

"Not too long ago I was questioning whether I'd keep playing so to leave it all out there on the field again for 80 minutes is just a good feeling.

"I'm super happy to stay on for another year at the Reds. Queensland is home."

Reds Midfield Depth Strengthened For 2027

Reds head coach Les Kiss has highlighted Henry’s football intelligence, calm decision-making and ability to perform on both sides of the ball.

"His training ethos and footy intelligence are appreciated by all and he has a sense of calm on the field," Kiss said.

"He plays well on both sides of the ball. He's part of a competitive midfield at the Reds. Whether it is at No.12 or No.13, he shows the qualities he brings."
