Hurricanes have announced that Cam Roigard has signed a three-year contract extension with New Zealand Rugby and Super Rugby club until 2027.

Roigard made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Counties Manukau in 2020 with his Super Rugby debut for Hurricanes coming a year later.

He had a prolific 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season where he ended up as club’s joint top try-scorer with nine tries in 14 games. His impressive performance for Hurricanes saw him earn All Blacks debut against Australia in July and is currently part of their World Cup squad in France.

“Ever since I’ve been with the Hurricanes, I’ve never wanted to play anywhere else," he told the club's official website.

"The club gave me my first opportunity at Super Rugby, and I saw this is an opportunity to repay them for opening that door.

"I have loved every minute of my time here over the past couple of seasons so to be able to lock in the next few years with the Hurricanes and NZ Rugby is awesome.

“The attacking style of footy the Hurricanes play suits my game and I compliment the team as well. Being part of this group is special to me, and if this year was a taste of what’s to come, then I can’t wait to be honest.”
