Brumbies ran a six-try riot as they thrashed Queensland Reds by 63-10 in their Super Rugby encounter at GIO Stadium on Saturday.

The first half was equally competed Chris Kuridrani crossing over for the visitors while James Tuttle added the conversion to take a 0-7 lead.

Reds bounced back with fly-half Wharenui Hawera adding a penalty in the 12th minute and 14 minutes later Tevita Kuridrani rumbled past the post. Hawera conversion on the try took Brumbies to three point lead which was nullified with a penalty from Tuttle at the stroke of half time during which the scores were levelled at 10-10.

Brumbies took the game away from Reds at the start of the second half when Robbie Abel and Aidan Toua went past the line and Hawera added double conversion.

As Reds failed to score a point in the second half, Brumbies went on to add three more tries through Jarrad Butler, James Dargaville and Chris Alcock to complete a 33 point victory.

Brumbies continue to top the Australian Conference after registering their third win from six games while Reds are struck at fourth position after succumbing to their sixth defeat this season.
