The 25-year-old reached his 50th club appearance against the Lions, the same opposition he faced when making his Dragons debut during the 2022-23 season.
Wales Hooker Builds On Breakthrough Season
Coghlan made his Wales debut last autumn against New Zealand and has gone on to win two senior caps.
This season he has scored four tries, including one in a European victory over Newcastle Red Bulls, after also making a strong impact last term with two tries against Zebre Parma.
Homegrown Dragons Forward Eyes Next Step
A former back-row forward, Coghlan switched to hooker at the age of 16 and has continued to develop since coming through the Dragons pathway.
Born in Newport, he has spoken of his pride in representing the club he supported growing up and said he is eager to keep improving as Dragons move forward.
“I grew up in Newport as a fan of the Dragons and dreamt of playing for them one day. To continue to make my childhood dream come true and play for my home club is very special to me.
“This club means everything to me. I love everyone who is a part of the Dragons and to train and play with my closest friends is a very special feeling and a part of what drives me to always give my everything.
“This year has been an incredibly proud one. I was given the opportunity to represent my country and the support I’ve had from all the coaches and lads really made it feel even more special".
