Dragons produced one of their most complete performances of the season with a commanding 48–28 victory over Connacht at Rodney Parade on Saturday evening.

The win delivered a maximum five-point haul and was built on strong forward dominance, clinical finishing, and accurate goal-kicking.

Scrum-half Che Hope led the scoring with a brace of tries, while Oli Burrows, Jared Rosser, and Rio Dyer also crossed the line. A penalty try further boosted the home side’s tally.

Co-captain Angus O’Brien had a flawless night with the boot, converting all scoring opportunities to maintain a 100 percent success rate from the tee.

After the match, O’Brien described the result as a reflection of the collective work put in by the squad. He said the performance showed progress after mixed results earlier in the season and highlighted the balance between attack and defence.

“It was an amazing evening and an amazing result,” said O’Brien.

“Just testament to the work that all the boys have put in, everybody in the group really.

“We've shown glimpses of it at the start of the season, had some tough results, but I think tonight you saw a real complete performance, both sides of the ball.”

Dragons are positioned 14th in the United Rugby Championship table with a solitary win from seven matches.
