Australia lock Kane Douglas has agreed a contract extension with Bordeaux Begles.
Having started his senior career in 2012 for Southern Districts, Douglas made a switch to New South Wales Country Eagles in 2014. He joined Pro14 side Leinster ahead of the 2014/15 season before returning back to Australia signing a three-year deal with Queensland Reds from the 2015 season.
The 32-year-old's association with Bordeaux started in the 2018/19 season and now will remain with the French club until 2024.
“It’s the best thing for my family to stay put. I think me and the club want the same thing,” he told AFP.
“The club want me to stay, I want to stay.”
Douglas also had played for Australia in 31 Tests between 2012 and 2016 and was part of their 2015 World Cup campaign where he featured in seven games.
