Thomas Ramos to leave Toulouse for Racing 92

France international Thomas Ramos will leave Toulouse for Racing 92 at the end of the 2026-27 season after agreeing a three-year contract with the Paris club.

The 31-year-old full-back will join Racing ahead of the 2027-28 campaign, ending a long association with Toulouse that began when he entered the club’s academy as a teenager.

Ramos described the decision as particularly difficult but said he had chosen to pursue a new challenge. He pledged to devote all his energy to helping Toulouse achieve their objectives during his final season.

“This decision was particularly difficult to make but I have chosen to take on a new challenge,” he said.

“All my energy is focused on this final season in this jersey. I will give everything to help the club achieve its goals.”

Although Ramos has spent almost his entire senior career with Toulouse, he played for Colomiers on loan during the 2016-17 season.

Ramos Leaves Toulouse After Trophy-Laden Career

Ramos made his senior Toulouse debut in 2014 and developed into the club’s record points scorer. He has helped the French giants win six Top 14 championships and two European Champions Cups.

Toulouse have dominated French domestic rugby in recent seasons, winning each of the last four Top 14 titles. Ramos has been a central figure during that period through his accurate goal-kicking, attacking play and ability to operate at full-back or fly-half.

France Star Set for New Challenge

The France international also played a decisive role in securing the 2026 Six Nations title. He kicked a penalty after the final hooter as France defeated England 48-46 in a dramatic championship finale.
