Wales international Aled Brew has agreed to a short-term contract with the Aviva Premiership club Bath.

Brew, who has made nine appearances for Wales between 2007 and 2012 will remain with the Recreation Ground based outfit until the end of the year.

The Cardiff born 30-year-old will make a switch from Newport Gwent Dragons after enjoying a six-year stint with the Pro12 club spread across two different terms. Brew was also part of the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens winning Wales team.

Director of rugby at Bath Todd Blackadder believes Brew will add more flexibility to the squad.

"A led is an international-standard winger, so we are very pleased that he's joined the club.

"He was looking for a fresh start and he will give us some more experience and add to the depth within the squad."
