Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of tighthead prop Jack Owlett from Gallagher Premiership rivals Wasps ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Owlett was part of the Scotland Under 20 that squad that competed in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy in 2015.

The 25-year-old made his senior club debut with Exeter Chiefs in 2016 in the Anglo-Welsh Cup clash against Cardiff Blues and also played for Exeter University in the victorious 2016 BUCS competition.

Owlett, who also had a loan stint with Cornish Pirates made a switch to Wasps ahead of the 2019/20 season and had played five Premiership games for them.

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons welcomed Owlett to the club.

“We are pleased to welcome Jack to the Warriors family,” said Solomons to the official website of the club.

“Jack is a relatively young tighthead prop, who has had a solid grounding at Exeter Chiefs and been able to continue his Premiership experience at Wasps.

“He is now ideally placed to make his mark here at Sixways under the expert tutelage of Mark Irish, our scrum coach and we look forward to his arrival in the summer.”

Worcester Warriors are positioned 11th in the Gallagher Premiership table with two wins from seven games.
