England international Seb Atkinson has signed a new contract with Gloucester Rugby, committing his future to the Gallagher PREM club until at least 2029.
The 24-year-old centre has opted to remain at Kingsholm despite attracting interest from rival clubs.
Seb Atkinson Secures Long-Term Gloucester Future
Atkinson joined Gloucester from Worcester Warriors in 2022 and has developed into an important member of the Cherry & Whites squad. His performances in attack and defence have established him as one of the club's most consistent players.
He was named Gloucester's Supporters' Player of the Year in both the 2023/24 and 2025/26 seasons, reflecting his growing influence at Kingsholm.
The centre made his senior England debut against Argentina in July 2025 and has since earned seven international caps.
He remains involved in England's preparations for the upcoming Nations Championship fixtures, having been included in the rehabilitation group as he works towards fitness.
George Skivington Welcomes Atkinson Contract Extension
Gloucester head coach George Skivington described the agreement as a significant development for the club, particularly given the interest Atkinson had attracted elsewhere.
"This is a really significant re-signing for us. Seb had plenty of options on the table, so his commitment to the Club is a real indication of where Gloucester Rugby is right now.
"Seb has been exceptional for us since the day he arrived. He came with great physical qualities and an outstanding level of professionalism in the way he approaches his own development and the success of the team."
Atkinson credited Gloucester's coaching staff and supporters for helping him develop since arriving from Worcester Warriors.
"I'm really grateful to the Club for everything they've given me since arriving at Kingsholm. There's no doubt the faith the coaches have shown in me, and the time they've invested in my development, has played a huge role in shaping the player and person I am today.
"Playing at Kingsholm is a privilege, and I've been overwhelmed by how the Gloucester supporters have welcomed me and made me feel one of their own."
