Worcester have announced the signing of Georgian international hooker Jaba Bregvadze.

Bregvadze, who has won 32 caps for the Lelos, will link up with his new team-mates in time for next Saturday's Aviva Premiership game against Gloucester.

The 27-year-old featured in Georgia's recent World Cup encounters against Tonga, Namibia and Argentina, helping them secure a third-place pool finish that guaranteed qualification for the 2019 tournament in Japan.

Bregvadze joins from French giants Toulouse having spent the last three seasons in the Top 14.

Worcester rugby director Dean Ryan said: " Jaba is an experienced international who will add strength and depth to our front-row.

" We have been really impressed by his performances at the Rugby World Cup and are excited to be able to add him to our squad.

"He will add more competition for the number two shirt, while being able to drive standards of some of our younger players in what is a key area."
