Nick Evans contributed with 22 points as Harlequins have boosted their chances of a top six finish with a 32-13 win over table toppers Wasps in their Aviva Premiership clash at Twickenham Stoop on Friday.
Evans on his final game at Stoop opened Harlequins' account with a 11th minute penalty but Wasps replied back with a touchdown from Dan Robson 13 minutes later followed by a conversion from Jimmy Gopperth.
At the stroke of half time, both Evans and Gopperth exchanged penalties as Wasps had a slender four point lead at the end of the first half.
Harlequins showed more intent at the start of the second half when Tim Visser rumbled past the post followed by a conversion from Evans, who also kicked two more penalties to gain a nine point lead for the hosts.
Wasps played most part of the second half with one man down as Willie le Roux was sin binned in the 57th minute while skipper Joe Launchbury was yellow carded in the 72nd minute and Quins capitalised on the advantage as Evans kicked two more penalties while Joe Marchant added a 78th minute try to complete a 19 point win for the hosts.
Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.
