Matt Mullan scored a decisive try in the added minutes while Jimmy Gopperth kicked the conversion as Wasps managed to edge out Northampton Saints with a thrilling 32-30 win in their Aviva Premiership clash at Ricoh Arena on Sunday.

Alex Waller scored a couple of tries for the visitors along with Ben Foden in the first half while Stephen Myler managed a solitary penalty as Newcastle Falcons raced to 18 points.

In response, England international Elliot Daly was lone try scorer for Wasps but Gopperth added a conversion and two penalties to take them to 13-18 trail at half time.

Christian Wade and Joe Simpson brought Dai Young's men into the lead with their tries at the start of the second half but their efforts were negated when Ahsee Tuala and Teimana Harrison rumbled past the post for the visitors.

As the game was heading for the last minute, Northampton Saints maintained their five point lead but a yellow card to Jamie Gibson proved costly for them as Mullan and Gopperth held their nerve with a try and a conversion respectively to seal a thrilling 32-30 win for Wasps.
