Wasps lock James Gaskell sidelined for up to 14 weeks

Wasps lock James Gaskell will be on the sidelines for up to 14 weeks following a surgery on his shoulder.

Gaskell, who has been part of Wasps since 2014 when he moved from Sale Sharks featured for the Ricoh Arena outfit in the first three games of the Premiership but was forced to miss the recently concluded fourth round where they lost 28-18 to Steve Diamond's men.

Wasps are currently positioned 11th in the Gallagher Premiership table with three defeats from four games. Their only win came in the third round when they defeated Bath Rugby 30-22 at Ricoh Arena.

Wasps will now face Bordeaux Begles and Agen in the opening two rounds of the European Rugby Challenge Cup on 16th and 23rd November respectively before resuming their Gallagher Premiership campaign with a clash against Exeter Chiefs on 30th November at Sandy Park.
