Wasps 70-22 Bristol Rugby, Ricoh Arena
Scorecard

Wasps ran a 10-try riot as they maintained their winning streak in the Aviva Premiership with a comfortable 70-22 victory over Bristol at Ricoh Arena on Sunday.

The home side scored five tries apiece on either side of half-time which included doubles from Elliot Daly, Christian Wade and Ashley Johnson to which Bristol responded with just three tries.

It took Wasps just one minute to open their account as Tommy Taylor crossed over but fly-half Tusi Pisi responded with a penalty to bring down the difference to just two points.

But that was the only success Bristol managed in the first half as Daly (21'), Jake Cooper-Woolley (24'), Matt Symons (35') and Wade (37') scored tries while centre Jimmy Gopperth added 12 points to take Wasps to a 37-3 lead at half-time.

Trailing by 34 points, Bristol looked down and out of the game but Pat Lam (43') led the fightback to provide some respite for the visitors.

However, it was only a matter of time as Wasps domination continued with Wade (47') crossing over for the second time and was immediately followed by tries from Johnson (50') and Danny Cipriani (55'). This was also Cipriani's first try for Wasps after switching from Sale Sharks.

Bristol's desperate attempt to reduce the margin of victory through converted tries from Mitch Eadie (58') and Gaston Cortes (71') was negated by touchdowns from Johnson and Daly as Wasps won the game by a massive 70-22 margin.

The win has taken Wasps to third in the points table while Andy Robinson's men languish at the bottom of the table with three successive defeats.
