Bristol Bears Women have confirmed the signing of England star Ellie Kildunne ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 26-year-old started her career with Gloucester-Hartpury in 2017 before making a switch to Wasps in 2020. She joined Harlequins in 2021. At the international level, Kildunne helped England to multiple Guinness Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam titles while also starring in the World Cup Final at Allianz Stadium last year.
Ellie Kildunne Joins Bristol Bears Women
Kildunne will move to Bristol Bears Women as one of the most decorated players in the women’s game.
Kildunne said Bristol felt like the right club for this stage of her career, pointing to the team’s attacking style and ambition as major reasons behind her decision.
“The way the team plays is hugely exciting and completely aligned with how I want to express myself on the pitch. The ambition, the style and the belief within the group really stood out whenever I have played against them.
“I’ve always loved playing in Bristol – both for club and country. The World Cup semi-final at Ashton Gate was an incredible occasion and the fans there are hugely passionate and create an incredible atmosphere.
“Bristol has built a fantastic brand in women’s rugby. It’s a club that’s ambitious, innovative and isn’t afraid to do things differently. That’s something I really wanted to be a part of.
“I can’t wait to get started, meet my new teammates and hopefully create some special memories together.”
