Toulon 36-0 Benetton Treviso, Stade Felix Mayol
Josua Tuisova starred with a double as Toulon went on to blank Benetton Treviso 36-0 to reach the top position in Pool 5 of the European Champions Cup on Sunday.
The result also has taken Toulon to 18 points and they will compete with Scarlets next weekend at Parc y Scarlets which will be a decider for a play-off qualification.
The spectators at Stade Felix Mayol witnessed a tight first half that saw Anthony Belleau scoring a converted try in the seventh minute. As the visitors failed to add a point, the fly-half kicked his first penalty at the stroke of half-time to make it 10-0.
The real intent from the French giants came in the second half which kick-started with Josua Tuisova going past the line and 10 minutes later Mathieu Bastareaud also scored a try.
The bonus point for Toulon came in the 57th minute with a touchdown from Tuisova while fullback Hugo Bonneval capped off a fantastic game for the home side with the fifth try that came in the 68th as they completed a 36-0 victory.
