Connacht centre Tom Daly becomes the latest player to commit his immediate future with the club after signing a new two-year contract.

Daly's signing follows the news of Finlay Bealham, Jack Carty, Oisín Dowling and Jack Aungier also signing contract extensions with the club in recent times.

A graduate of Leinster Academy, Daly started playing for Lansdowne before making his senior debut with the Dublin based club in 2016.

The 28-year-old initially joined Connacht on loan in 2018 before joining them on a permanent basis ahead of the 2019/20 season.

He was named the province’s Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year last season, earning a call-up to Ireland’s squad for the summer tests. He also represented Ireland Under 20 and Ireland 7s sides in the past.

“Playing for Connacht has been the highlight of my career so far," he said in a statement released by the club.

"There’s a really strong group of players and management who are all working together to succeed both in the URC and Champions Cup.

"I’m thankful to Andy and the coaches who have shown trust in me and I can’t wait to play my part in achieving our aims in the years ahead.”
