Leicester Tigers have confirmed the signing of hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie on a short-term deal ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Elder brother of England and British and Irish Lions international Luke Cowan-Dickie, the 30-year-old will head to Mattioli Woods Welford Road after being part of Cornish Pirates making 60 appearances for them across two stints.

He also had represented England Counties, Plymouth, Redruth and England Under19 Academies in the past.

Leicester Tigers head coach Steve Borthwick feels Tom's addition will bolster the squad in the absence of Julian Montoya and Charlie Clare.

"Tom is a tough, hard-working and experienced rugby player, who we are pleased to welcome to Leicester Tigers," said Borthwick to the club's official website.

"With Julián Montoya away on international duty and Charlie Clare suffering a knock, which will keep him out for a few weeks, Tom adds important depth to our ranks at hooker."

Leicester Tigers will kick-start their 2021/22 season of the Gallagher Premiership with a clash against Exeter Chiefs to be played at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on 18th September.
