Premiership Rugby has confirmed that five Aviva Premiership matches next season will be live on terrestrial TV for the first time in the history of the competition.

The umbrella organisation for the 12 English top clubs has penned a four-year deal with Channel 5 which will also see weekly highlights programme from the tournament.

Premiership Rugby chief executive Mark McCafferty believes the new deal will help the competition attract more audiences.

"This new agreement will bring club rugby to a new audience to provide a fantastic shop window," McCafferty said.

Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.

The division is becoming more and more exciting as each year passes by so who will be lifting silverware at Twickenham in May?

At Talking Rugby Union, we aim to provide match reports and news together with our specially commissioned features and interviews.
