Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that Scotland international Scott Cummings has penned a new deal with the Pro14 club.

Cummings has been with the Scottish regional club since his professional rugby debut in 2015 and has made 73 appearances for the club becoming an integral part of the club. He was also part of the squad that reached the final of the Pro14 in 2019 that saw them lose to the eventual champions Leinster with a 15-18 margin.

His consistent performances for Glasgow saw him earn his international debut for Scotland in the warm-up games leading to the World Cup and has now featured in 17 Tests. He was also part of the Scotland Under 19 and Under 20 teams.

“Staying at Glasgow was quite an easy decision for me," said Cummings to the official website of the club.

“Getting to play for the club that I grew up supporting is an amazing feeling. We’ve got a great, hard-working group of guys that want to push on.

“I’ve really enjoyed the past six years at the club. There’s nothing better than running out at Scotstoun when the stadium is packed, and I can’t wait until it’s safe to welcome fans back to match nights at Scotstoun.

“I still feel like this team has the ability to push on and compete with the best teams in Europe. I just want to continue enjoying my rugby with Glasgow and represent this club and this city as best I can.”

Glasgow are positioned fifth in the Conference A table of Pro14 with two wins from eight matches.
