Saracens head coach Mark McCall lauded the team's performance against Worcester after they came from behind to seal a 43-19 victory at Sixways on Saturday.

Suffering an early setback, Saracens were trailing by 7-14 inside 18 minutes with centre Andy Symons and winger Cooper Vuna scoring a try each for Worcester.

However, Neil de Kock, Samuel Vunisa and Chris Ashton responded brilliantly under pressure to ensure Saracens took a 15-point lead at the end of first-half.

Ashton continued his dominance scoring another try in the 50th minute and the Saracens performance was capped by the fifth try in the 64th minute by Ben Ransom.

McCall was full of praise for Ashton for his brace of tries which swung the momentum in the visitors' favour.

The 48-year-old also acknowledged Alex Goode's contribution in the first-half where he was involved in all the three tries and revealed the full-back was rested in the second-half keeping in mind next weekend's European Champions Cup final.

"Chris will think he could have scored five but he will go into next week's game full of confidence,” said McCall.

"Alex was rested last week but he was outstanding today and he's been the best full back in England for some time."

The win has given Saracens 80 points, securing a top of the table finish in ongoing Aviva Premiership season and now they will take on Leicester in the semi-final.

Proud of the team's effort, McCall believes the best is yet to come for the Premiership side.

"We've led the Premiership for three out of the last four seasons," added McCall.

"To get 80 points, without our internationals (who were) away for such a long period is a tremendous achievement but the best is yet to come as we have a young squad.

"Last week we played poorly in the first half against Newcastle but we were impressive today."

McCall also hoped the scrum-half Neil de Kock, who suffered from a hamstring injury will be fit for the semi-final.

"The only drawback was the loss of De Kock with a minor hamstring injury and it would be cruel if he can't be involved next week," said McCall.
