Saracens have confirmed that England second row Rosie Galligan will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Red Rose departs North London after three years in her second spell with the club, having rejoined Saracens from Harlequins in 2023.

Rosie Galligan To Leave Saracens

Galligan first joined Saracens in 2016 and quickly became an important part of the Women in Black squad. During her first spell, she helped the club win two Premier 15s titles.

After a move to Harlequins, Galligan returned to StoneX Stadium in 2023 and continued to deliver strong performances. In her second spell, she passed 50 appearances for Saracens and re-established herself as one of the leading second row players in England.

England World Cup Winner Begins New Chapter

Galligan’s performances for Saracens helped her earn selection for England’s Rugby World Cup-winning squad in 2025.

She will now begin a new chapter away from the club as she prepares for motherhood, having announced her pregnancy with fiancée and Saracens co-captain Marlie Packer earlier this year.

Saracens Pay Tribute To Rosie Galligan

Saracens Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry thanked Galligan for her contribution on and off the field. He praised her professionalism, drive and attention to detail, while wishing her and her family every success in the future.

“Rosie has made a significant contribution during her second spell at the club, both on and off the field.

"She established herself as one of the leading second row players in England and her performances for Saracens played an important role in her inclusion in England's Rugby World Cup winning squad in 2025".

Galligan said Saracens had helped her grow as both a player and a person. She also thanked Austerberry for believing in her over the past decade and said she looked forward to returning to rugby with fresh motivation and future goals.

“I have absolutely loved my time at Saracens. From my first game at 18 to my last before finding out I was going to be a mum; this club has been a place that has helped me grow and flourish both as a player and as a person.

I will always be grateful to everyone at the club for being part of my journey. I would particularly like to thank Alex Austerberry for seeing my potential and believing in me throughout the last decade".
