Saracens led by a double try from Sean Maitland extended their winning streak after defeating Exeter Chiefs by 34-13 in their Aviva Premiership game at Sandy Park on Sunday.

Saracens replaced injured George Kruis with Jim Hamilton while Exeter Chiefs made three changes with Greg Holmes, Lachie Turner and Geoff Parling starting in the XV.

Alex Lozowski provided Sarries with the initial lead after he breached Exeter Chiefs' defence to score the first try in the fourth minute while Alex Goode added the conversion and 13 minutes later the defending champions rose to a 12-point lead with Maitland touching down.

Exeter Chiefs made a brief comeback in the game with fly-half Henry Slade sending couple of penalties across the post while Richard Wigglesworth was sin-binned in the 31st minute. At half-time, Saracens had a lead of 12-6 over Exeter Chiefs.

However, between the 53rd and 62nd minute, Saracens added a penalty and two tries - one each from Maitland and Jackson Wray to stretch the lead to 21 points.

Luke Cowan-Dickie provided some respite scoring the first try in the game for Exeter Chiefs in the 67th minute and a conversion from replacement Gareth Steenson reduced the gap to 14 points but Ben Spencer crossed in the 81st minute to ensure a second consecutive bonus point victory for the Saracens which also took them to the top of the points table.

Widely regarded as the most competitive rugby union league in the world...it can only be the Gallagher Premiership.
